Swami Vivekananda, who initiate confidence to India to regenerate it and establish it as Jagat Guru. His rousing call is spirit behind the development of modern India. January 12, 2012, the Vidyalaya celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jaynati as this is his birthday. As the whole World is preparing to celebrate 150th birth anniversary (1863-2013) of Swamiji, the Vidyalaya is also on the process.

The day started with a mini marathon race of 6 kilometres organised for different schools of Tinsukia town. More than 500 students took part in this exciting programme. At 2 PM, the cultural function of the Vidyalaya started. Eminent dramatist, writer and renowned educationsit Dr. Harendra Nath Borthakur was the Chief Guest, who spoe on the need of Swami Vivekananda's education in modern day India. A bouquet of cultural items were presented like Classical dance, group song, Children skit and worthmentioning, A tribute to the legend Dr. Bhupen Hazarika by the teachers & students.
