SWAMI VIVEKANANDA JAYANTI & NATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2025

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and National Youth Day was celebrated on 12 January 2025 in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Laipuli Tinsukia, with majestic air.

The Annual Cultural fest of 12th January started with a beam of Mangalacharan with singing Vande Mataram with audience, Guests, teachers and students. The Chief Guest of the programme was Dr Mriganka Choudhury, Principal, Women’s College Tinsukia and the Guest of Honour was Sri Tridib Dutta, noted artist of the state. We had the Regional Administrative Officer Su. Pranati Roy along with the Vidyalaya Managing Committee Members (VMC).

The Principal Sri Ravindranath D Savdeykar, addressed all in his speech where he mentioned the significance of observing Samarth Bharat Parva from 25th December to 12th January to mark the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s meditation in the mid-sea rock in Kanyakumari from 25th to 27th December 1892.

In his speech, Dr Mriganka Choudhury spoke about the universal message of Swami Vivekananda on the spiritual and cultural tolerance and harmony. He also expressed the relevance of Vivekananda’s teaching which is inevitable for the present age.

The Guest of Honour, Sri Tridib Dutta emphasized in his speech about the importance of vocational skill which needed to be nurtured among the budding twigs.

School Report was read by teacher Neeladeep Kr. Chakraborty, where he mentioned the detail of holistic and co-curricular achievements of the students and teachers.

Our alumni Sujjwagat Baruah was felicitated, who secured Rank 24 in the APSC Examination 2024 along with his batchmate Bhaskar Jyoti Gogoi who is currently working in the Defense Research Centre in West Germany.

The CBSE Class X/XII toppers, subject toppers and the Class toppers for the year 2024 were given appreciation in the prize distribution ceremony where the Best House, Best Students (Holistic & Sports) and other prizes were distributed by the Guests. This year the “Dakhya Prasad Memorial Running Trophy” was conferred to the Best House (Kedarnath).

Colourful and vibrant cultural presentations by the students of Classes I to XII which mesmerized the audience for few hours, where the theme of the complete programme was “MY INDIA – MY PRIDE”. To mention a few of these are ‘Prakriti Ke Uphaar’, ‘Sanskritik Bahnisikha’, ‘Nukkad Natak’, ‘Sur Samagam’, ‘Mukabhinaoy’ etc.

The day was made gorgeous & successful with the presence of more than 2000 parents, alumni and well-wishers.  The vote of thanks was delivered by Teacher Priyanka Baruah.


We celebrate Samarth Bharat Parva from 25th December to 12th January. Swami Vivekananda had started his three days meditation at the mid-sea rock in Kanyakumari on 25th December. His historic meditation was to know his role for the regeneration of Bharat. Therefore, we celebrate Samarth Bharat Parva starting from 25th December and it culminates on 12th January- the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Presentation was done on the following topics during that period.
