Raksha Bandhan Celebration – 2025

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with great enthusiasm across VKV Laipuli, Primary Section, and Pre-Schools at Chabua and Naupukhuri on 8th and 9th August 2025, reflecting the spirit of oneness, respect for nature, and harmony within the community.

In the Secondary & Senior Secondary Section (Classes VI–XII), the programme in the Yoga Hall on 9th August was graced by former teachers Mrs. Runu Das and Mrs. Archana Borkakoty. It began with Prayer and Mangalacharan, followed by addresses from the Principal and teachers. Students exchanged handmade Rakhis not only with peers and staff but also with trees, Gou Mata, and the temple. Later, teachers and students visited various community places — including police stations, hospitals, army camps, and shops — tying Rakhis and receiving warm appreciation.

The Primary Section (Balvatika–Class V) celebrated on 8th August with songs, handmade Rakhis, and symbolic Raksha Sutra tying to Bharat Mata, Gou Mata, and trees. Teachers also visited parents for Raksha Bandhan Sampark.

At Pre-School Chabua, 8th August saw tiny tots tying Rakhis to each other and nature, while on 9th August staff visited nearby shops to share the festive spirit. Pre-School Naupukhuri students celebrated in school on 8th August, and teachers visited homes the next day to connect with families.

Across all units, the festival embodied the motto “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – The World is One Family, uniting people, nature, and community in bonds of love and protection.
