Pre-Primary Teachers’ Workshop

A four-day Pre-Primary Teachers’ Workshop was conducted from 6th to 9th July, 2025 at VKV Laipuli, Tinsukia, organised by Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag, Guwahati. The workshop saw the active participation of 92 teachers from 25 schools across Assam and Nagaland.

Focused on holistic child development (Pancha Koshiya Vikas), the sessions highlighted play-based learning, pre-writing skills, cognitive and language development, storytelling, and lesson planning as per NEP 2020. A total of 26 interactive sessions were conducted by experienced educators from various VKVs.

Mr. Chandra Kumar Dahal, Lecturer, DIET Tinsukia, delivered a special session on “Importance of Readiness in Early Childhood Education.” Class demonstrations, participant assessments, and an exhibition of teaching aids added practical value.

The workshop concluded with the Samapan Satra, graced by Shri Tridip Sharma Tamuly, followed by Ashirvachan by Su. Pranati Roy, RAO, VKSPV, who encouraged teachers to nurture Indian values in early learners.
