It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mananeeya Balakrishnan Ji, President of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, on 27 August 2026. A dedicated karmayogi, he played a pivotal role in shaping the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, committing his life to the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
His final visit to our campus on 20 March 2025 remains a cherished memory, marked by insightful interactions with students, parents, and teachers. During this visit, he shared reflections on the development of our Library block and the Yoga Vidya Sabhagriha, and spent time engaging with our top-performing students and staff. His long association with our institution dates back to 16 August 1978, when he attended the Bhumi Pujan for VKV Tinsukia alongside Mananeeya Eknath Ji. We honour his lasting legacy and the inspiration he leaves behind for our entire community.
