Punyatithi observation of the Man with the Capital M

Mananeeya EknathJi, The Man with Capital M, a visionary, who proved that every obstacle can be converted into opportunities, through his work and deeds. Sri EknathJi Ranade, the founder of Vivekananda Kendra and Vivekananda Rock Memorial, had attained Mahasamadhi on this very day, 22 August 1982 in Chennai. All centres and Vidyalayas of Vivekananda Kendra observe the day as EknathJi Punya Tithi. In our Vidyalaya the day was observed after regular morning assembly, where a group of primary children performed three skits that depicted the life and messages of EknathJi. Secondary students sung the sublime song “Vandana Abhinandana Hee Dev Shata Shata Vandana…”. A teacher, with few words, tried to focus on the message that Mananeeya Eknathji left for the students, teachers and all karyakaartas of Kendra. Km. Kritika Mazumder of class IX, spoke about the life of Sri EknathJi. It is worth mentioning here that Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Laipuli Tinsukia was established by Mananeeya EknathJi in the year 1978, which is the first VKV in Assam.
