The nation celebrates
Teachers’ Day on 5th September, which is the birthday of Dr.
Sarvepalli Radhkrishnan, en eminent philosopher and educationist of the country.
In our Vidyalaya the day was celebrated where the students of Class XII
(Sc/Comm) took active participation in the management of the day. They
performed the role of different subject teachers and taken classes in primary
secondary and sr. secondary sections. Km Monjit Chetia from (Class XI) spoke brilliantly
about the life and teachings of Dr. Radhakrishnan. A skit depicting the student’s
life, a fusion of different songs with recitation was also performed by the
Class XII students. An audio amplifier was donated to the Vidyalaya by the
students. Principal Sri Guru Charan Das inspired the students to perform their role
in nation building, in his speech. 
In the evening, The
Principal and some of the senior teachers of the Vidyalaya was felicitated by
Lions Club International, Tinsukia district, at a Symposium in the Royal
Highness Conference Hall.
