A session on “Role of Teachers in the Present Scenario” was conducted at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tinsukia on 2nd March 2026. The session was delivered by Swami Anubhavananda Saraswati, a renowned Vedanta teacher and spiritual speaker, popularly known as the “Smiling Swami” and “Happy Guru.”
The programme began with Manglacharan by Vandana didi, creating a serene atmosphere, followed by the speaker’s introduction by Neeladeep Sir. He highlighted Swamiji’s teachings on living in the “here and now” to experience true joy. Swamiji, a travelling Vedanta teacher and author, conducts satsangs worldwide and delivers discourses on scriptures like the Ashtavakra Gita, Uddhav Gita, and Avadhuta Gita. The guests were warmly welcomed by Suprabha didi.
In his inspiring talk, Swamiji emphasized his “Be Happy” philosophy, explaining that happiness is to be expressed, not searched for. He encouraged teachers to create a positive classroom environment, stating that a happy teacher naturally inspires happy learners. He advised educators to “play their role perfectly” — performing duties sincerely without arrogance in success or guilt in challenges.
The session motivated teachers to focus on self-growth, inner joy, and mindful action while shaping future generations. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Neeladeep Sir and the chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa by all participating teachers.
