Anti-Bullying Awareness

An Anti-Bullying Awareness Talk was organized for the students of Classes VI to IX at VKV Tinsukia. The programme was inaugurated by Ms. Meghna Kakoty (Vice Principal, VKV Tinsukia). The session was conducted by Mr. Sanjay Yadav (2nd Officer, NCC), who explained the harmful effects of bullying, discussed the school’s anti-bullying rules, and encouraged students to report any incidents of bullying without hesitation.

This was followed by a session on “Being Safe Online” by Ms. Krishnangi Mohan (Counsellor), who guided students on online safety, responsible digital behaviour, and the importance of protecting their privacy while using the internet.

Both the sessions were informative and interactive, helping students understand the importance of creating a safe and respectful environment both in school and online.

Book Fair 2026

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya recently transformed into a vibrant hub of knowledge and imagination as it hosted a three-day Book Fair in collaboration with Woodpecker Publications from 17th to 19th June 2026.

The event featured an impressive collection of books spanning diverse genres, subjects, and age groups, offering something for every reader. From captivating storybooks and inspiring biographies to educational resources and reference materials, the fair provided a rich literary experience for all.

Students enthusiastically explored the stalls, eagerly discovering new titles that sparked their curiosity and imagination. Teachers, staff members, and parents also actively participated, making the event a truly collaborative celebration of learning and literacy. The fair created an engaging atmosphere where books became bridges connecting young minds with new ideas, perspectives, and possibilities.

More than just an exhibition of books, the Book Fair served as a meaningful initiative to nurture a lifelong love for reading among students. It encouraged families to read together, promoted independent learning, and reinforced the importance of cultivating strong reading habits in today's digital age.

The overwhelming response and enthusiastic participation made the event a resounding success. The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to Woodpecker Publications for organizing this enriching experience and to all parents and well-wishers whose support contributed significantly to its success.

PDC Camp 2026

   Personality Development Camp (PDC) for Class VI students was successfully conducted at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Laipuli from 8th to 12th June 2026. The camp aimed to develop leadership qualities, discipline, patriotism, cultural awareness, self-confidence, and moral values among the students.

The programme included activities like Yoga Abhyas, Surya Namaskar, Boudhik Satras, and group discussions. Students actively participated in sessions focusing on Swami Vivekananda, Srimanta Sankardev, Indian Culture, and Youth Development.

The camp concluded with a valedictory programme featuring skits on Rani Gaidinliu and Narendranath. It successfully fostered teamwork, discipline, and cultural values, making it a meaningful and enriching learning experience.

World Environment Day Celebration

World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Laipuli on 5th June 2026. Students from both the Primary and Secondary Sections participated in various activities to spread awareness about environmental conservation.

The programme included songs, dramas, a herbal show, a Nukkad Natak, exhibitions of useful items made from waste materials, and an Environment Day oath. The Chief Guest, Shri Sailendra Mohan Das, spoke about the importance of biodiversity and the need to protect nature.

A plantation drive titled “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” was also organised. Parents, students, teachers, and members of the Eco Club actively participated by planting saplings in the school campus.

The celebration concluded with a pledge to “Stand with Nature” and “Stand for Nature,” inspiring everyone to contribute towards a greener and healthier environment.

Observation of Sri Sri Madhav Dev Janmatsav

Sri Sri Madhav Dev Janmatsav was observed with devotion and enthusiasm at VKV Laipuli, Tinsukia. The programme began with Prarthana and Borgeet presented by the students, creating a spiritual atmosphere.

A video presentation was also shown highlighting the life, birth, and significant contributions of Sri Sri Madhav Dev to Assamese culture and literature.
The programme helped the students gain valuable knowledge about the great saint-scholar and his teachings.

Vimarsh on “Shaping Young Minds”


Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Laipuli, in collaboration with Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Branch Tinsukia, organized a Vimarsh (symposium/discussion) on the topic “Shaping Young Minds” by Shree Hanumanthrao Ji, Vice President, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari.

The programme was conducted by Smt. Nisha Nandini Bhartiya (Sah Sanchalak, Nagar Samiti). It began with the Mangalacharan by Smt. Kakali Kar (Amrit Parivar Pramukh) and Smt. Kakali Chakraborty (Sikshak Karyakarta), followed by the welcome address by Shri Shashi Goyal Ji (Nagar Sanchalak, Nagar Samiti). The students of VKV Laipuli presented a melodious Samuhik Geet, and the guest was felicitated. Shri Manjeet Sarma (Niwasi Karyakarta) shared an inspiring Vivek Vani, while Shri Neeldeep Chakraborty (Core Team Member) introduced the objectives and activities of Vivekananda Kendra.

In his address, Shree Hanumanthrao Ji highlighted the crucial role of parents in shaping a child's future. He emphasized two distinct phases of upbringing:

  • 0 to 5 Years: Children should receive the utmost care and affection.

  • 5 to 15 Years: Parents should guide them with discipline and values.

He also stressed the need for parents to actively support their children's intellectual development so they remain connected to India's rich cultural heritage.

The Vimarsh was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, where parents sought guidance on parenting and child development. The speaker's practical and insightful responses made the session highly engaging.

The programme also featured a colourful Nritya Natika (dance-drama) titled “Bharat Ki Veer Santane,” presented by the students of Class III.

The event concluded with:

  • The Ahvan by Smt. Pompha Rana (Vibhag Sangathak, Dibrugarh and Lakhimpur).

  • The vote of thanks by Shri Ravidranath D. Savdekar (Principal, VKV Laipuli).

  • The Shanti Path led by Smt. Nabanita Das (Yuva Pramukh).

The programme was highly informative and inspiring, leaving the participants with valuable insights into the shared responsibility of parents and educators in nurturing young minds.
