Reminiscing the Life of a Karmayogi


Sri Hazarat Angiras Ambarishlal alias Mamaji, Jeevanvrati Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari has left for heavenly abode on 30 March 2026 living behind an illuminating life of a real Karmayogi to inspire Karyakartas to work with the twin ideal of Tyaga and Seva (Service and renunciation). His Educational Qualification was BA (Sanskrit & Prakrit) in 1959, MA (Sanskrit & Prakrit) in 1961. Joined Kendra on 10/06/1973. Posted as Librarian from 1973-1980. Then at Training Centre office/ Shibir Office from 1981 - 1994, then as Treasurer from 1986 -1995. From 1996 -till date he was in Kanyakumari( Training Centre office/ Shibir Office, Archieve Pramukh etc. 
Our Vidyalaya offered Shraddhanjali to Mamaji on 1 April 2026 in the YogaVidya Sabhagriha, where teachers offered Pushpanjali and Reminiscing his memories.

Vidyarambha Ceremony 2026-27

The Vidyarambha Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 was held at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Laipuli, Tinsukia with devotion and enthusiasm. The programme began with Mangalacharan by Nandini Didi, creating a serene atmosphere.
The Vice Principal, Mrinali Didi, delivered the welcome address, followed by a melodious bhajan. Jeeta Moni Didi presented the Kendra Parichay, and Priyanka Didi showcased school activities. Vandana Puri Didi explained the significance of Vidyarambha as one of the sixteen sanskaras, highlighting the importance of each ritual. The main ritual included writing “Om Saraswati Namah,” tasting honey, deep prajwalan around Bharat Mata, distribution of prasad, and gifts. The ceremony concluded with blessings for the students as they begin their learning journey.

Inspiring Insights on the Role of Teachers by Swami Anubhavananda Saraswati

A session on “Role of Teachers in the Present Scenario” was conducted at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tinsukia on 2nd March 2026. The session was delivered by Swami Anubhavananda Saraswati, a renowned Vedanta teacher and spiritual speaker, popularly known as the “Smiling Swami” and “Happy Guru.”

The programme began with Manglacharan by Vandana didi, creating a serene atmosphere, followed by the speaker’s introduction by Neeladeep Sir. He highlighted Swamiji’s teachings on living in the “here and now” to experience true joy. Swamiji, a travelling Vedanta teacher and author, conducts satsangs worldwide and delivers discourses on scriptures like the Ashtavakra Gita, Uddhav Gita, and Avadhuta Gita. The guests were warmly welcomed by Suprabha didi.

In his inspiring talk, Swamiji emphasized his “Be Happy” philosophy, explaining that happiness is to be expressed, not searched for. He encouraged teachers to create a positive classroom environment, stating that a happy teacher naturally inspires happy learners. He advised educators to “play their role perfectly” — performing duties sincerely without arrogance in success or guilt in challenges.

The session motivated teachers to focus on self-growth, inner joy, and mindful action while shaping future generations. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Neeladeep Sir and the chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa by all participating teachers.

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students from various schools, including those in Northeast India, as part of the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 initiative. He emphasized celebrating exams and shared techniques to manage stress, encouraging students to focus on learning rather than results. Modi advised students to handle pressure like a bats, focusing on the next ball rather than the noise of the crowd. He stressed the importance of healthy competition, self-improvement, and balancing studies with extracurricular activities.
In Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Tinsukia Secondary student (350 in number) attended PPC 2026 in Vidyalaya's Yoga-Vidya Sabhagriha along with teachers and some other staff.

Mathematics Workshop

Venue: VKV Tinsukia
Resource Person: Shri Rahul Kokel Ji
A Mathematics Workshop was successfully conducted at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Tinsukia, for the students of Standards IV to VII. The workshop was led by the eminent resource person, Shri Rahul Kokel Ji, who is well known for his innovative and engaging methods of teaching mathematics.
The main objective of the workshop was to develop interest and curiosity among students towards mathematics by presenting the subject in an enjoyable and activity-based manner. Shri Rahul Kokel Ji demonstrated a variety of mathematical games, activities, and puzzles suitable for different age groups. These activities helped students understand mathematical concepts in a simple, logical, and fun-filled way.
During the session, students actively participated in solving puzzles and playing mathematical games. The activities encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and teamwork among the students. The resource person explained how mathematics is not just about calculations but also about reasoning, patterns, and creativity.
The workshop created an enthusiastic learning environment, and students showed great interest throughout the session. Teachers also gained valuable insights into innovative teaching strategies that can be incorporated into regular classroom teaching.
The Mathematics Workshop was highly informative and inspiring. It will help students overcome fear of mathematics and motivate them to learn the subject with confidence and joy. The school authorities expressed their gratitude to Shri Rahul Kokel Ji for conducting such an enriching and interactive session.




Republic Day Celebration

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Laipuli, Tinsukia Date: 26 January 2026 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Laipuli, Tinsukia celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great patriotism, discipline, and enthusiasm on 26 January 2026. The programme commenced early in the morning reflecting the spirit of punctuality and commitment among students and teachers. The celebration began with Pushpanjali followed by Manglacharan, conducted reverently by Kakumoni Didi and Sumita Didi, with guest Su. Revati didi, Joint Secretary VKSPV creating a devotional and solemn atmosphere. This was followed by the Inspection of the Parade by Principal sir and Sanjay sir who encouraged the participants and appreciated their discipline. The highlight of the programme was the Flag Unfurling, performed by the Principal Sir, followed by the National Anthem, which filled everyone present with a deep sense of pride and national unity. Subsequently, the March Past by the NCC group along with the Band group, guided by Sanjay Sir and Biju Sir, showcased excellent coordination, discipline, and patriotic fervour. After the march past, there was a speech by Principal Sir which inspired the students by highlighting the significance of Republic Day and the values enshrined in the Constitution of India. This was followed by a melodious Group Song presented by the students, which beautifully reflected love for the nation and cultural harmony. Following the group song, the Principal Sir shared a deeply moving and enlightening experience from VKV Sadia, recalling the unfortunate incident when VKV Sadia met with a fire accident. He spoke about the courage, unity, and resilience shown by the Vidyalaya family during that challenging time. His words emphasized the core VKV values of selflessness, service, and collective strength in the face of adversity. The programme continued with a speech by teachers, delivered by Tushi Didi, who motivated the students to uphold national values and strive for excellence in academics and character. The celebration concluded peacefully with Shanti Path, led by Dibyanee Singhal of class XI invoking prayers for peace, harmony, and the well-being of the nation. The Republic Day celebration concluded at 9:30 a.m., leaving everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism, responsibility, and dedication towards the nation and the ideals of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya.
