Raksha Bandhan- the Celebration of togetherness


On 7 August 2017, Vidyalaya celebrated one of the most important festival of India, Rakhsha Bandhan with its true spirit. After the morning prayer, children and teachers tied Rakhis to the trees and cows with the sense of protection and gratitude for the nature and animal. Bhajans, group song etc were performed by the students of primary and secondary section. The AyyaDidis, Bhaiyas and bus drivers were tied Rakhi by the students. Mananeeya SaritaDidi spoke about the significance and importance of the day.
Two groups comprises of teachers and students visited Jyanankush Sishu kalyan Ashram, an orphanage situated in Nakhrai near Guijan, where Raksha Bandhan is celebrated with the children of the Ashrama. Bhajan Kirtan was done followed by sweet distribution. After tying Rakhi our students distributed some articles to the needy children like pencil box, water bottle, pen, cloths etc as a part of Rakhsha Bandhan Celebration. VandanaDidi, Sukantsir, AmitSir and Sampadidi led the group.
A visit is made to the Laipuli Army Camp with GurudevSir, NilakshiDidi, Gulapididi and HanumanSir where Raksha Dhaga were tied to the Brigadier and armies of the camp. The programme consists of a speech, group song and distribution of sweets.

Swami Vivekananda Punya Tithi



On 4 July 2017, Swami Vivekananda Punya Tithi was observed in our Morning Assembly. On this vary day Swamiji attained Mahasamadhi and merged to Ramakrishnaloka, in 1902 at Belur Math, Kolkata. A speech about the significance of the day was delivered by a student of secondary, Sweta Ojha, it was followed by a Bhajan on SwamiJi sung by the secondary students.

International Day of Yoga 2017

From 2015, the World is celebrating International Day of Yoga on 21 June. Keeping relation with this significant Day, our vidyalaya also observed the day with full spirit and vigour and organised number of activities among students, teachers and the general public. In the morning assembly an open Quiz programme was conducted by NeeldeepSir and MadhuriDidi for Sr Sec and Sec. Assembly for boys and girls separately. It was followed by Yoga performance and competition by the four Houses. Sri GurudevSir attended the Yoga programme organised by District Administration in Manav Kalyan Puja Bhaban.
