Raksha Bandhan festival was celebrated in our Vidyalaya with true spirit and purpose. A short programme was conducted in the Assembly where students of both primary and secondary section performed group song, dance etc. and teacher delivered speech on the purpose of the day. besides tying Raksha Sutra to the classmates, different trees in the campus, cows (Gau-mata) and others were also tied rakhis.25 teams comprise of teachers and few students went to different parts of the greater Tinsukia and shared the message of the Raksha Bandhan with the masses. In this connection Deputy Commissioner Hon. Swapnil Paul, Superintendent of Police Sri Gaurav Abhijit Dilip and many others important personalities like Army Chief, CRPF personnel, Police Dept personnel, Bank Officers, Businessmen, Doctors, parents, alumni and others were given the message of Raksha Bandhan by tying Raksha Sutras to all. People of the city expressed their happiness and praised the efforts of Vidyalaya in this festivity.
