2nd October (Gandhi Jayanti celebration at our school),150 years of celebrating the Mahatma was organised in our Vidyalaya and campus with different programme. In the morning assembly lecture and digital presentation was shown to the students on the life and work of Gandhiji. Keeping pace with the Govt of India we also declared our campus plastic free from 2 October. Just after the programme a cleanliness drive was undertaken by the teachers and students for the hostel block and campus.

JIGYASA 2019

On 12th September 2019,  'Jigyasa 2019', the Annual E-Quiz Programme was held in the school premises on account of 50 years of Vivekananda Rock Memorial. The qiuz program was held in the Sabhagriha of the Vidyalaya, after the  morning assembly.  This project was undertaken by Neel Sir and the IT club members of class 11 namely:

2. Manwinder Singh
3. Rishikesh Verma
4. Saurav Dutta
5. Moupriya Das
6. Avinabh Dutta
7. Harshitt Aggarwal
8. Abhiraj Chakraborty
 All the four houses participated with an  intense competition and great enthusiasm.
The quiz comprised of four rounds: Science and Technology, Literature and Culture, Games and Sports and Picture Round.
Each round comprised of 8 questions.

 Karma house emerged as victorious with Yoga house as runners up, Jnana House as third and Bhakti house as 4th.

Universal Brotherhood Day : Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat, Sampark

Universal Brotherhood Day is celebrated on 11 September to mark the Historic Chicago Address of Swami Vivekananda in the World Parliament of Religion 1893. Keeping in mind the ongoing 50 years celebration of Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari, 'Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat' sampark is also discussed. In the programme, group song, Chicago Speech by student, projection of the documentary 'EknathJi' was also done . The Chief Guest of the programme was Nabajyoti Dutta, HOD, Dept of assamese, Kanoi Commerce College spoke about the life & message of Swami Vivekananda. 450 students, Kendra Karyakartra and some parents of primary classes were preaent in the programme.
   
 3 teams comprising  of some teachers and students visited three villages schools in Bambari, Morankari and Kodumoni and did "Sampark" with teachers and HM. A short programme was also arranged there , where song, Chicago Speech etc were also performed by our students.

The day of The Acharyas : Teacher's Day

57^th Teachers’ Day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya on 5 September 2019. Like every year , this year too, Class XII students were acting teachers for the Secondary and Sr. Secondary classes. There classes were exciting. In the afternoon, a cultural programme was arranged , where students spoke about Dr. S. Radhakrishnan and his philosophy. Principal Sri Guru Charan Das delivered the message of the day. It was followed by skit, song, recitation by students.
