Matri Puja and Utsarga Samaroh celebration at our Vidyalaya

Matri Puja and Utsarga Samaroh, the ethnic timeless tradition empowered by strong cultural roots is celebrated by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas every year. VKV Laipuli Tinsukia also celebrated the occasion enthusiastically. Class X and XII students worshipped their mothers honoring her as the first teacher and the living embodiment of selfless sacrifice and service. A total of 101 students were present in the ceremony where 72 students were from class and 29 students were from class XII respectively. Number of parents involvement in the programme was 110 approximately.

The ceremony started with washing the feet of the mothers and accordingly thalis were provided to them for performing the rituals. Respected Principal Sri Ravindranath D. Savdeykar sir addressed the gathering as well as stated the importance of the day. Brahmanand Dwivedi Sir(TGT Hindi) from VKV Baragolai conducted the entire ritual explaining each and every thing to the students. After the completion of rituals, students were instructed to lit diyas around the map of India as a mark of respect to Bharat Mata. It was followed by Sweet distribution to both parents and students.

After the completion of Matri Puja, Utsarga Samaroh started for the students of Class XII. Brahmanand Dwivedi Sir also performed the Utsarga rituals explaining the importance of the occasion. It was followed by distribution of Pre board answer sheets to the students of Class XII and answer sheets were shown only to the parents and students of class X. It was concluded with Shanti matra.
